Its has come. It is that time of the year. Human nature has come calling...shopping....
GASP*
How can we handle the Black Friday Rush, which is the start for the holiday shopping rush. From here on out every weekend will be filled with traffic jams, early morning coffee runs, wrapping gifts, another coffee run, back to the store, maybe grab a meal or settle for another coffee run. It hardly seem possible that somehow you have survived it every year, but somehow by God's grace you did.
They key thing is planning. Planning ahead, having a plan B-Z, and planning in the middle of planning the plan. It may sound scary but it true. By keeping our brains in order with lists and plans we are less likely to go out and spend on unnecessary things, having a mental break down if our original plan didn't work, and can get things done in orderly fashion. Basically less holiday stress when you plan ahead.
From planning can come forth the rest. Like for me, I know after our baby is born I plan to start jogging again. However to do this I do need to get a pair of basic jogging shoes. Sadly my favorite orange nike ones had to retire to be regular wearing shoes. But they still get to have one last famed glory of carrying me through Black Friday Shopping spree which hopefully I can score a pair for great deal.
This is the pair I hope to try and get. :)
That is another piece of good advise. Always and I mean ALWAYS wear comfy shoes when you do any sort of shopping. You have no idea how many times I see women running from store to store in a pair of heals. What crazy person would do that?! Apparently a lot of people do. I guess maybe the whole image of keeping up a clean put together appearance. Or maybe there are just countless women who holiday shop right after work. However, it no excuse ladies. Not dissing the heels here, but everyone know heels are bad for your feet. Doesn't mean you can't wear them, but keep the wearing them to holiday parties, work, and special events, not while you are shopping for long periods of time.
Wear comfy shoes, doesn't matter if they ugly.
Also for the coffee....
I can hear all the coffee drinkers glare at me ready to attack.....*eep*
Sorry to my friends and coffee drinker. I know, I personally am not a coffee drinker, but still. Coffee is such large amounts and especially how western culture drinks it.
Here's a good article below benefits and cons of coffee :)

Coffee can have it benefits like antioxidants. But chock it full of creamer, sugar, flavor syrups, whip cream, caramel sauces, etc..yeah it sort of loss it nutritional value.
Caffeine in small doses are fine. Rather it be coffee, tea, a little chocolate, however lets keep it within reason.
Going back to the key thing for survival of the holidays is planning. Don't plan to do huge shopping sprees that will require you to drink large and continuous amounts of coffee.
If an all day shopping or cooking holiday thingy is unavoidable, then look to have your strong coffee during the morning to give that boost, but then also each protein and whole grain filled breakfast. That way your body has energy to burn for the long run. If you start to feel a little slow, reach for little juice which can be more filling and healthier form of an energy boost. :)
And just to be sweet to you guys the link below is for a healthier version of pumpkin spice latte. A friend recommended it for me to try. It sounds tasty! and probably cheaper to make at home than running through starbucks. :)

Anyways. Just a few tips and my thoughts on the coming holiday shopping.
Until another day!

The start of my new blog!
Lets get down to the check list
Pair of good jogging shoes? Nope!
Comfy jogging clothes? Yep...but can;t fit in them yet. *looks at pregnant belly*
Playlist of jogging music? Somehwere...buried under the playlists of toddlers sing-a-longs, dance music and hubby's geek music.
Water bottle! Yes, lot fo those! Plenty of those...*runs to pee*
Well...uh....so this jogging blog so far has nothing to do with its intended to do, simple for the fact that I am still pregnant and have to wait until after baby is born for me to start all the fun physical stuff! Prenancy left me only to steadily walk and prenantal yoga, so no fun hikes or 13 mile runs..
BUT! Not to worry. Those will come soon. Soon as baby is born this blog will be filled with half marathon updates, 5 k runs I talk my hubby into and loads of pictures of taking the kids to the park and hikes. Maybe toss in a camping trip or two if we are brave enough as the kiddos get older. :)
For now you will have to make do with little updates and what active and outdoors things I do while pregnant. :)
ENjoy the upcoming holidays!
Toodles!
My first half marathon I ran. Two weeks after this event I found I was pregnant with out second baby! Next year many more pictures to follow!
